Tidy Menubar does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data from the app.

The app does not require an account, does not use advertising, does not use third-party analytics SDKs, and does not send your menu bar configuration to Aerie Craft or any external server.

Tidy Menubar stores app preferences locally on your Mac. This may include settings such as your launch-at-login preference, keyboard shortcut, toggle icon choice, startup behavior, guide completion state, and menu bar layout state.

These settings are stored on your device and are used only to make the app work as configured.

If you enable Hide Notch, Tidy Menubar creates a local modified wallpaper image with a black menu bar band so the notch can blend into a cleaner menu bar. The app may store local wallpaper-related state on your Mac so it can apply and restore this treatment.

This may include the original wallpaper file URL, security-scoped bookmark data for wallpaper files you explicitly allow, generated notch-hiding wallpaper files, and local Hide Notch preferences. This wallpaper state stays on your Mac and is not transmitted to Aerie Craft or any external server.

Tidy Menubar can monitor keyboard events only to detect the global shortcut configured by the user for toggling menu bar icons. The app does not collect, store, or transmit typed text.

Tidy Menubar may use macOS permissions or system APIs to support features such as global keyboard shortcuts, launch at login, menu bar control, and display-aware behavior for notched or external displays.

These permissions are used for app functionality. They are not used to collect personal data.

If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, screenshots, device details, or diagnostic context. We use that information only to respond to your request and improve the product.

This privacy policy page is hosted on the Aerie Craft website. The website may use hosting and analytics services, such as Vercel, to understand basic website performance and traffic. This does not change how the Tidy Menubar app itself handles data.

Because Tidy Menubar does not collect personal data from the app, there is no app-collected personal data for Aerie Craft to delete. Local app settings can be removed by deleting the app and its associated local preferences from your Mac.
